Berlin

Hit me, baby, one more time

27. Jan. 2015
Black Cracker

The One-Hit Parade is about to kick off a new season. The web TV series, an homage to Top of the Pops and American Bandstand, invites Berliner acts to “perform” their own songs in lip-synch and to talk about their work. The first season had a fair share of queer representation – featuring talent like Heatsick, Easter and Kool Thing – and the second looks promising as well: trans* rapper Black Cracker has been announced not just for the streaming series, which begins again on Feb. 17, but for the kick-off event this Saturday, Jan. 31, at Acud in Mitte. He'll take the stage – surely not lip-synching in this case – along with the band Isolation Berlin and DJ Jemek Jemowit. Clips from the upcoming episodes will be screened as well, and the new jingle composed by Pet Shop Boys will be unveiled. Entry is free, so if you have any interest in up-and-coming local talent, join the parade.
