At the end of every year, the same question pops up: Where to go on New Year’s Eve? As always, there are dozens of queer events competing for your attention, from old friends to new locations. For example, the Ballhaus Naunystraße welcomes you into their halls for their Neujahrsball. The lineup is a who’s who of local heroes: rapper Black Cracker (pictured, L), electro-chanteuse Aérea Negrot (R) and this year’s SIEGESSÄULE drag contest winner Chandelier Divine Brown (center). Mermaids feat. Girls on the Roxx* beckon you into the outstanding space of C-Club. That’s where Sara Moshiri and Julie Parker will be playing everything from electro to rock to pop. Rollberg won’t miss out on any action, either, where twelve DJs including LCavaliero, Modeopfer and Lucky Pierre team up for the SchwuZ Silvester Party with three floors of pop, retro and house. At SO36, Kreuzberg Calling will attract queers and heteros alike, featuring DJs Wasted Youth and The Emperor playing ska, reggae, charts and rock for all the party people. If you prefer to keep it strictly gay, though, consider Nina Queer’s Silvester Irrenhouse at Comet. DJs such as Bionic and Waikiki will provide the guys with a strong dose of pop and house. Also keeping it homo is Bob Young’s New Year’s Eve at Metropol Park, where Melli Magic, Alfie Levi and other DJs will get the floor moving. Last but not least, Berghain is wrangling up over 40 DJs for Silvester 2014/2015. Up at the Pannebar, down in the Lab and the main club, everyone will be dancing to the sounds of Pet Shop Bears, Steffi, Discodromo and Juan Ramos.
