Anniversary of Friedrichshain's beloved gay cruising bar
That sailors’ pub in the middle of Friedrichshain, Grosse Freiheit, is celebrating its ninth birthday. The cruising bar welcomes all butt-pirates to the party with a show by Mataina Ah Wie Süss (pictured), Ivawana’s photo booth to make lasting memories, and resident DJ Tiasz playing cuts from the 80s and 90s.

This cruising bar was formerly open to men only, but Grosse Freiheit 114 now welcomes all genders on most nights, including numerous parties with various scene DJs at the decks. What hasn't changed is the bar's cozy charm, and the cruising area in the back.
