Your Love
- Nov 7, 2025, 10:00 PM
- Panorama Bar/Berghain
All-gender electronic dance party
For the last edition of Your Love this year, residents Tama Sumo and Lakuti will be joined by DJs Antal and house legend Yvonne Turner at Panorama Bar. For lovers of house, disco, soul, funk, and jazz.
»New Yorker Yvonne Turner has been making music history since the 1980s. Today, she is rightly considered one of the first to create what we now know as house music. Her dub mixes of Colonel Abraham's “Music is the Answer” and Jessie Saunders' “On & On” were both released in 1984, about two weeks apart, and are considered the first house releases. She has also given us countless great remixes by artists such as Willie Colon, Arnold Jarvis, Whitney Houston, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa Stansfield, and Yazz, to name just a few. Unfortunately, “house music history” completely ignored her for many years, not least because she was either not credited at all for her remixes or credited as Evan Turner, on the grounds that women were allegedly not taken seriously as producers and remixers and their music would not sell...
But she is not only a gifted producer and remixer, she is also a great DJ who integrates many different musical influences into her sets in a very charming way and with a captivating flow.
Amsterdam-based Antal is the co-founder of the renowned record store, distribution company, and record label Rush Hour and has brought the music he loves to all corners of the world. His DJ sets make it clear why Rush Hour is one of the best independent sources for underground dance music today. His spectrum ranges from Chicago, New York, and Detroit house and techno to Brazilian funk, African hi-life, Surinamese sounds, disco, jazz, and more. He is a true storyteller, and his stories are never boring!«
