Melissa Etheridge has been a lesbian icon since coming out in 1993. Her new album, This is M.E., is made up of all Missy Elliott covers. Just kidding, it’s her own new songs, of the rock variety we’ve come to expect. Not bad – she’s just sticking with what she does best. Her Euro tour stops in Berlin tonight.

The club for beer. At least the eponymous "Astra" is also served over the counter here. Otherwise, Astra is the hip music temple in the bustling neighborhood around Revaler Strasse, which still refuses to gentrify. Gossip, Peaches, Ben Harper - they've already been here, and many others are still to come.
