In late 2015 with the release of her fourth album, musician Claire Boucher a.k.a. Grimes made the transformation from bleak, nerdy avant-pop elf into mainstream starlet – but not at the expense of her artistic expression. Tonight she performs songs from the catchy and intelligent Art Angels live.

The club for beer. At least the eponymous "Astra" is also served over the counter here. Otherwise, Astra is the hip music temple in the bustling neighborhood around Revaler Strasse, which still refuses to gentrify. Gossip, Peaches, Ben Harper - they've already been here, and many others are still to come.
