SIEGESSÄULE is presenting a new exhibit titled SuperQueeroes – Our LGBTI Comic Book Heroes and Heroines, on display now through June 26 at the Schwules Museum*. The first of its kind in Europe, this show puts the spotlight on comic books and artists outside of the heteronormative matrix. The focus, of course, is on superheroes, but not to the exclusion of anti-, everyday-, underground and mainstream heroes, as well as all the heroic comic book artists who have had to put up with discrimination based on their work, as in the industry, expressly queer content usually gets stifled – men in colorful leggings notwith- standing. We can’t wait to check out Condom Man and Glamazonia!
