Austra at Astra – how fitting. The Canadian darkwave pop group (pictured: singer Katie) just released their third album, Future Politics, which aims to provide solutions to the dystopia we are facing. UK artist Pixx will open. As a bonus, Austra spinoff project Tasseomancy plays on the night before (Mar. 7) at Acud.

The club for beer. At least the eponymous "Astra" is also served over the counter here. Otherwise, Astra is the hip music temple in the bustling neighborhood around Revaler Strasse, which still refuses to gentrify. Gossip, Peaches, Ben Harper - they've already been here, and many others are still to come.
