From Aug. 2-27, the O-TonArt theater is holding the Regenbogensommer festival. Tonight is dedicated to German trans legend Charlotte von Mahlsdorf (pictured, center). Two films will be screened, including Ich bin meine eigene Frau by Rosa von Praunheim, who will also be in attendance.

This lovingly renovated and designed theater opened in late 2009 as the home of the playback-troupe O-Ton-Piraten. Although the group does not exist anymore, the theater remains a charming location for alternative theater, cabaret and queer community events.
