Peter Tchaikovsky may be celebrated worldwide these days, but during his lifetime he remained an outsider due to his homosexuality. In 1935, gay German author Klaus Mann wrote a novel about the composer, which has now inspired a musical adaptation, directed by Wolgang Roese (pictured).
