Der Gay Classic aus „Tod in Venedig“
Every month, somewhere in Berlin, Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 is performed anew—a work whose *Adagietto* achieved worldwide fame through Luchino Visconti’s film adaptation of the Thomas Mann novella about Gustav von Aschenbach and his desire for the youth Tadzio. This time, our own world-class, luxuriously resonant orchestra performs the piece under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada (instead of Iván Fischer, as originally announced). It is paired with Joseph Haydn’s *Sinfonia Concertante* in B-flat major.
