Antje Rávik Strubel was awarded the 2021 Deutscher Buchpreis for novel Blaue Frau (“Blue Woman”). The book deals with sexual violence with “existential force”, said the jury. Tonight Strubel reads from the novel, which is also a queer-feminist plea for self-determination.

The Urania is the building belonging to the association of the same name near Wittenbergplatz. Lectures from all subject areas from art to science to society can be heard here, cinema and stage offer current culture. The aim of the association is to “provide scientific education for all citizens”.
