Axel Ranisch is the winner of the first ever QMS RESPECT AWARD and presents his debut film “Dicke Mädchen” (Fat Girls) from 2011. The film tells the story of a son who lives with his mother, who has dementia, in a prefabricated apartment block in East Berlin and falls in love with her caregiver.
