The African-American composer Florence Price is currently experiencing a global rediscovery. The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) has programmed her Dances of the Canebrakes (in the orchestration by fellow African-American composer William Grabt Still), combined with Rachmaninoff's intoxicating Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Richard Strauss's Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life).
