In Kyiv’s pulsating underground, Jay and Vol’demar find their footing: as a couple and part of the queer dance scene, they navigate the space between ecstasy and reality, between community and exclusion. Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression, the film has chronicled their lives—caught between club nights and a state of emergency. For them, dance becomes a survival strategy—a space for visibility, intimacy, and self-affirmation—while outside, a reality prevails that threatens to destabilize precisely that.
