In his new show, Dee Novak pays tribute to Cologne veteran Trude Herr (born May 4, 1927 in Cologne; died March 16, 1991 in Lauris near Aix-en-Provence, France) and performs her most famous songs live or via playback. The vastly underrated artist, who worked as a bakery saleswoman, typist in the city administration, and barmaid in a gay scene pub before her career, released countless records, appeared in 30 movies, and was the director of her own theater for several years. Many still remember her as the congenial partner of the incomparable Heinz Erhardt. An evening to smile, sway, and reminisce.
