Modern dance

The body “as a site of historical and choreographic inscription” is the point of departure for James Batchelor’s newest performance. In one solo and two duets, the gay dancer searches for gestures and patterns that are anchored in the body’s memory.



Innovative dance, alternative theatre, and music festivals can be discovered here in the rooms of an old craftsmen's clubhouse. Gender issues and queer artists are part of the cultural canon - the best known are the Tanztage (Dance Days) in August.
