“Dirty old man” is the title of José Promis’s 15th CD, which he will be presenting at AHA-Berlin on 29 May. The songs are about all of us and our experiences, told from the perspective of an old man who has witnessed and survived the scene in Los Angeles in the 1990s and 2010s, and in Berlin over the last ten years. “If I’m still standing, then somehow we’re all still standing,” says the singer and composer, who was born in Chile in 1973 and grew up in the USA. “Dirty old man” was recorded in Chile; José has released seven of his 15 albums since moving to Berlin. All the songs from the album will be performed at José’s release show, and the CD will also be available to buy.
