The Kiezsalon, initiated by the platform "Digital in Berlin," is a series of events for experimental music spanning jazz, songwriting, and electronica, taking place at various venues. This year, the weekend concerts opening the Kiezsalon season will be held in the elegant setting of a castle on the outskirts of Neukölln. On the second day, the vocal jazz group KOOB, comprised in part of queer jazz institute graduates, will perform with Finnish saxophonist Heli Hartikainen and the now 78-year-old British vocalist Maggie Nicols, who co-founded the legendary Feminist Improvising Group in the 1970s.
