Lesbian Berlin soul singer Lili Sommerfeld and choreographer Anne Grabowski have created Klangwerk306, a 47-member pop choir whose German-English repertoire of contemporary hits and selected classics always has queer political relevance: whether it's Muna's lesbian neo-country anthem “I Know A Place,” Chappell Roan's drag race contender “Pink Pony Club,” or Rio Reiser's 39-year-old question “Wann?” (When?), which also gave the latest Klangwerk306 program its title. After rousing shows at SchwuZ and last fall at Tipi, there is now a double Easter encore!
