“Codes,” the solo debut of Xmal Deutschland singer Anja Huwe, garnered such a large international response in 2024 that the renowned visual artist responded positively to the numerous requests for a live performance and even performed it on two evenings at the Volksbühne in Berlin. For her 2026 engagement, the Hamburg native will likely be supported again by Berlin-based Mona Mur, who, like Huwe, pioneered German-language New Wave in the early 1980s, as well as by original Xmal Deutschland guitarist Manuela Rickers.
