Turkish singer Başak Yavuz studied jazz in New York, taught songwriting at Istanbul universities, and recorded the internationally acclaimed avant-garde album Raum 610 with Berlin jazz musicians in 2024. Under the Turkish motto "Ne Var Ne Yok" ("What's Up?"), she and an international ensemble (including Queer Cheer co-founder Erik Leuthäuser on the microphone) have developed an allegorical concert performance that celebrates its Berlin premiere today.
