In her capacity as an enabler - she helped Joni Mitchell to make a stage comeback, as well as Tanya Tucker and Elton John to respectable late works - the solo career of the singer/songwriter with the clear voice almost fell somewhat out of focus. Yet the 44-year-old has a respectable discography of her own queer love songs. Nevertheless, her gift for paying tribute to the works of her revered colleagues - such as the Indigo Girls' “Closer To Fine” with her wife Catherine - cannot be praised enough.
