With her break-up opus “The Art Of Forgetting,” the queer Californian released a lavishly arranged concept album in 2023, which she is now following up with a raw collection of songs recorded on her cell phone. Her new LP, “The Year of the Slug,” is only available on Rose's Bandcamp page and at her solo concerts, which she is giving exclusively in small clubs this year. Despite their lo-fi aesthetic, songs like “Everything in its Right Place” have everything an indie pop earworm needs.
