Even though Californian-based Welsh singer Cate Le Bon deals with heterosexual heartbreak on her latest album, Michelangelo Dying, the list of queer artists who have been inspired creatively by working with the 42-year-old is impressive: Courtney Barnett, Deerhunter, John Grant, Horsegirl, Perfume Genius, St. Vincent and British filmmaker Phil Collins – they all swear by Cate's artful arrangements and sonorous vocals. Opening act: Cate's long-time partner H. Hawkline (bassist for Aldous Harding, among others).
