The music of African-American composer Florence Price (1887–1953) is currently being rediscovered in many places; most recently, her Rainbow Waltz was even performed at the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert as an LGBTQ+ statement by conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin. In Berlin, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has scheduled her String Quartet No. 1 in an arrangement for string orchestra, combined with Fazıl Say's Mother Earth and Korngold's later Symphony in F-sharp minor, in which he incorporated several of his Hollywood film melodies.
