Vladimir Jurowski and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin perform Sinfonia No. 9 by the gay composer Hans Werner Henze (1926–2012), composed in 1997 and dedicated to the heroes and martyrs of German anti-fascism. The program is combined with Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 1 and Brahms' Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny). The Rundfunkchor Berlin sings.
