With the dance floor fillers ‘Er gehört zu mir’ and “Marleen”, the Berlin native brought Philly soul to Dieter Thomas Heck's ‘Hitparade’ in the mid-1970s. In the 1980s, partly supported by Rio Reiser and the NDW band Extrabreit, she made a successful comeback with goth-inspired new wave songs. Since the new millennium, Rosenberg has returned to her tried-and-tested repertoire of hits, updating only the rhythmic arrangement from time to time.
