Rita Lukea (vocals), Jonathon Freund (synthesizer), and Tyler Ommen (drums) met in Chicago's queer club scene and have been creating electrifying Electric Body Music in the tradition of legendary gay disco pioneer Patrick Cowley since 2019. Pixel Grip now demonstrate on their third LP, Percepticide: The Death of Reality, that dancefloor ecstasy and political awareness are not mutually exclusive, addressing themes such as classism and militarism through euphoric melodies and raw rhythms.

The former cantina to the left of the entrance of Berghain is a venue for concerts and parties, plus the lovely Bierhof Rüdersdorf beer garden during the summer. Paint peeling from the ceiling is part of its charm, along with old leather armchairs and cinema seating for chilling. The fireplace outside provides cozy warmth during the cooler months. The program spans techno nights to live bands on tour.
