Konzert: Through The Web Of Time – 40 Jahre Rainbirds

40th anniversary concert of the Rainbirds with the extended original members
At the Düsseldorf "Favorite Album" festival last December, the Rainbirds' second album, "Call Me Easy Say I'm Strong Love Me My Way It Ain't Wrong" from 1989, was performed live by an "expanded original lineup." Even Ulrike Haage, the multi-award-winning jazz pianist, radio play producer, and film composer, who was (not only) a duo partner of Rainbirds singer Katharina Franck in the 1990s, joined them. The success of this performance inspired the reformed Rainbirds to embark on a full tour this year to celebrate their 40th anniversary, under the motto "Through The Web Of Time" (or, as Katharina Franck's website puts it, "To conclude, with everyone"). At their hometown show in Berlin, Lina Maly and Willow Parlo will also perform selected Rainbirds songs.

Einst war es das größte Bad Europas: 1873 stieß man bei Bauarbeiten in der Friedrichstraße auf eine Solequelle. Aus dem Admirals-Gartenbad wurde 1911 der Admiralspalast, einer der ersten Vergnügungspaläste, und schließlich ein Varieté. 2006 eröffnete schließlich nach Verkauf und aufwändiger Sanierung des Gebäudes das Admiralspalast-Theater.
