The 35-year-old bisexual Breton is one of the few French superstars of her generation who can fill large venues in Germany. The stylistic range of the dance-loving entertainer extends from the classic chanson of Barbara to David Bowie (whose 1983 hit ‘Modern Love’ she belted out at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival) to Kraftwerk's “Computerliebe”. And Nena's ‘99 Luftballons’ has also been heard here in several encores. Now she is performing – very ‘classically’ – at the Philharmonie.
