The ‘Lebensmelodien’ project has so far focused on melodies composed by Jewish people between 1933 and 1945. Now, Lebensmelodien is broadening its focus to include another group of people persecuted under National Socialism. Familiar faces from Lebensmelodien, such as Francesca Zappa (artistic director of the concert and research) and Michael Cohen-Weissert (composition and arrangements), will perform alongside queer icons such as Achan Malonda, Sven Ratzke and Heinrich Horwitz for the first time.
