Alex Melcher and Vera Bolten’s musical tells the story of the Scholl siblings’ resistance - and does not shy away from depicting Hans’s homosexuality, even if it does not take center stage. The production was honored with the 2025 Musical Theater Prize for “Best Musical,” as well as for “Best Direction,” “Best Book,” and so on. Anyone who places their trust in the discerning standards of this award should give this production a try at least once.
