As part of the Musikfest Berlin, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France will be performing under the baton of conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla. The program includes the symphonic poem “Jūra” (The Sea) by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and folk songs arranged by Luciano Berio, with the explosive “Bolero” as the highlight. A piece with which the queer (some say asexual) Maurice Ravel achieved world fame and which was later reinterpreted by Hollywood as the ultimate orgasm music.
