The collaboration between the Colombian transdisciplinary artist Juan Betancurth and his nephew Esteban Betancurt uses playful means to reinforce the process through which the two reflect on episodes in their family history that are linked to soccer. In the case of Juan Betancurth, it is the practice of a queer artist who uses the liberating potential and semiotics of BDSM to reveal the workings of power and desire and the implications of conceptual notions of subject and object.
