And so, Parton makes it to Berlin after all—posthumously—with funding from the Capital Cultural Fund. The tough, successful businesswoman would likely have been amused by this, given that she had absolutely no interest in such cultural subsidies, preferring instead to earn the money for—and through—her art herself.
