In 1969, the queer community rose up against police violence with “Stonewall.” Today, the police protect us at events such as Pride parades, street festivals, and other queer events. But are the police and queer people really on the same side? Where can I turn for help? Do LGBTIQ+ contact persons in the police force actually make a difference? And what exactly is VelsPol?
