Posener Oper spielt „Król Roger“
- Nov 12, 2025, 7:00 PM
- Berliner Philharmonie
The opera ‘King Roger’ by the gay Polish composer Karol Szymanowski, which premiered in 1926, is about the homoerotic relationship between the Christian King Roger II and a young shepherd in the Byzantine era. It features opulent music, which unfortunately is not performed by any of Berlin's three opera houses. This makes this guest performance by the Polish ensemble of the Poznan Opera all the more exciting.
