The artist collective Mexa was founded in a public shelter for homeless people in São Paulo. The residents lived under constant surveillance in a communal space where new people regularly arrived, while others were quickly forced to leave due to rule violations. Over more than a decade of working together, Mexa has undergone significant transformation. Nevertheless, the turbulence of their origins continues to shape the group to this day.

In "Reality Show", ten performers inhabit a mutable environment that evokes both a home and a television studio. Furniture and cameras gradually appear and vanish, while live projections are edited in real time. The familiar grammar of reality TV mirrors both their past experiences of communal living and their current lives in the theater, conjuring a visibility devoid of power, a glamour intertwined with exhaustion, and an intimacy that becomes a commodity.
