To ring in the New Year, Berlin's renowned orchestra presents music by Tchaikovsky – and features star tenor Benjamin Bernheim as a special treat. He sings an aria from the homoerotic classic Eugene Onegin, followed by the emotionally overwhelming Romeo and Juliet overture, the kind only the flamboyant Tchaikovsky could deliver. After the intermission, the program continues with a selection of popular French classics, including a bonus track by Gershwin.
