VIVA! 400 years of opera in 90 minutes
Under the motto “400 years of opera in 90 minutes,” these artists, some of whom are queer, are attempting to revive the genre of opera, which is considered outdated. At the venue where the “Operetta for Two Gay Tenors” recently caused a sensation. It will be interesting to see whether this show will also be successful.

Members of the ‘Cabaret des Westens’ - a troupe where breaking taboos was part of the programme in the 1980s - founded the ‘Berliner Kabarett Anstalt’ in a tent in Kreuzberg. Based in the rooftop theatre on Mehringdamm since 1988, the BKA offers Neuköllnicals, cabaret, comedy, shows, improvisation theatre, concerts, singer/songwriters and musicals.
