An imperfect evening at the theater becomes a mirror to inner turmoil: Marianne dreams of a glamorous debut as a female icon in the spotlight – with dance, song, and breathtaking costumes. But the audience arrives too soon and encounters Marianne not in the radiance of perfection, but in vulnerability and uncertainty. Despite the adverse circumstances, Marianne clings to her dream. In doing so, the unfinished becomes the central element: It opens up a space in which longings, anxieties, and the complex entanglements of queer identity are explored.
