In the 1970s, the TV series "Little House on the Prairie" projected an idealized, white, heterosexual world set against the backdrop of the provincial desolation of Wyoming. The Helmi Puppet Theater—led by Peter Cora Frost and a fabulous ensemble of collaborators—queers this narrative (which could just as easily be set in the Uckermark region) and confronts it with themes such as exclusion and peer pressure.
