Anietie was born in Nigeria and lives in London, where he works as a doctor in a hospital. His expressive paintings deal with the range of feelings, from shame to despair to anger, that many people with an ethnic, sexual or otherwise deviant identity carry around with them, even if they have been living in a comparatively tolerant European metropolis for years. Anietie will be present in person at the gallery on 21.09. and 22.09.
