Photography Exhibition
Photography means capturing the moment—but also much more. What kind of moment was it? Who was I in that situation? What has happened since then? Photography involves depicting and processing both external and internal processes. Dagmar Schultz, born in Berlin, studied and worked in the USA and Puerto Rico, and taught at the Free University of Berlin and the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences. From 1974 to 2001, she served as the publisher of Orlanda Frauenverlag, and she produced the films Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992 (2012), Hoffnung im Herz: May Ayim (1997), and Through Color into Life: The Artist Ika Hügel-Marshall (2025). For decades, she has been a passionate photographer of people, landscapes and nature, and animals. Her most recent exhibition was Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years at the FHXB Museum in 2024. The exhibition at BEGiNE is on view until the end of July.
