The lecture examines how violence has been depicted in art—from mythological abductions and biblical scenes to the radical practices of feminist artists in the 1970s. Works by Ana Mendieta, Marina Abramović, Yoko Ono, and others transform the female body into a field of trauma and resistance. Contemporary positions continue this legacy and transform art into a space of testimony and political statement.
