We learn about the world's first public outing, the world's first gay activist group,

the first institute for sexology, the first gender reassignment

surgeries, we visit the second oldest queer bar still in operation in the world and immerse ourselves in the wild nightlife of the gay and lesbian bars of the Golden Twenties.

We will focus on people such as Magnus Hirschfeld, Anita Augspurg, Christopher Isherwood, Claire Waldoff, Audre Lorde and Jürgen Baldiga, but also on people who are less well known to the public, such as Dora Richter, Hilde Radusch and Albrecht von Krosigk.
