In April last year, Mads Elung-Jensen, director of the ensemble Die Goldvögel, was admitted to St Joseph's Hospital with acute pneumonia. During his treatment, he struck up a conversation with Dr Hartmut Stocker, chief physician for infectious diseases.

This serious situation has now given rise to a beautiful new Christmas concert. Since the emergence of the AIDS pandemic, St Joseph's Hospital has been committed to the treatment and care of HIV-positive people in Berlin.
