Peter Rausch, born in Berlin in 1950, founded the HIB (Homosexual Interest Group Berlin) in 1973 together with

others. At the end of the 1980s, he continued his work for gay rights at the Berlin association Sonntags-Club. After reunification, he published non-fiction texts such as ‘Die bisexuelle Natur des Menschen – eine soziale Chance’ (The Bisexual Nature of Humans – A Social Opportunity) (Jena 1990). His novel ‘HomoBlocker’ was published in 2014, and in lectures he deals with psychoanalytical theses and the question ‘How much sex is there in queer?’ In a contemporary witness interview, he will talk about the legal situation in the GDR, the travesty cabaret ‘Hibaré’, a neo-Nazi attack in 1991, the ‘Klappen’ and other meeting places. In addition, original video recordings from this period will be shown.
