Ever since Luchino Visconti used the Adagietto from Mahler's 5th in his film "Death in Venice" at the beginning of the 1970s, this piece and the accompanying symphony have represented milestones of queer music history. Now you can hear it by the Berliner Philharmoniker lead by world-class conductor Zubin Mehta. A sound experience of the highest tier, combined with Boris Blacher ("Fanfare for the Opening of the Philharmonie") and a new work by Lilica Djordjević, which will be premiered.
